final rough cut and editing

From the last rough cut, there has been some progress made to the title sequence. On my own, i edited the title sequence by incorporating an ident and sound. So far it's going along alright but theres still a lot more work to do. I took time in lesson to create a new ident and create sound on GarageBand as my first ident went missing.

What i need to improve on is the timing of the beat in the title. This means that the pace of the sound needs to go slower in the beginning.
The title sequence is completed because we haven't finished with the entire filming yet. This is a disadvantage because we only have this week to submit our title sequence and the other member of our group is frequently absent to lessons. however, if he doesn't turn up on Thursday, i will be disappointed for sure but i'll try to have an alternative such as getting someone who is the same complexion as Adam and Jake to play the role in the title sequence.

What needs to be completed in the filming is the ending of the title sequence where one of the guys in the hoodie hits the main character with the bat ( filmed using a go pro) and a close up of the red of clubs card to conclude the title sequence. We also need to add an extra shot to extend the length of the title sequence.

rough cut 2, how was it?

the second time we filmed our title sequence seemed extremely better than the first time round, after seeing the first rough cut i decided a few things that we could improve on, so the second time around we did just that. as i was filming i was simultaneously watching the previous rough cuts and making sure that tis shot was better than the previous one, i also added many shots that i felt really gave a sense of location and that made the most of our surroundings.
overall i felt that the day went quite well considering half way through filming we were left with only two group members and the actor we used therefore we all tried our best to improvise on the shots we needed and i made sure that i captured the shots i had previously wanted as well as the ideas we all had on the day

Rough Cut 2

I was on my own in todays lesson, therefore i did all the editing with no help. From the first rough cut there were a lot of changes to be made as few bits and pieces didn't match or we needed to add a few more shots. In this title sequence, there is still a lot more improvements to be made in regarding to the length overall. The title sequence doesn't appear as neat and that will be worked on when we start adding in the title credits on black screen. In our next rough cut,our song, ident and title credits will be added into the title sequence as well another shot to complete the sequence

Day 2 Filming

Our second video went successfully well as everybody attended ! this made it easier for us to carry equipments to our location and we were able to film according to our film ideas. The benefit of having all our members present is that we can finally have three characters involved in the chase scene rather than two ( like on Day 1)

What went well:
-  What went better with our second shooting was that we were able to capture more angel shots and diffierent locations. Jake managed to take location shots around the barbacan for the beginning of our title sequence. We werent able to do this on the first day of our shooting because we were running out of time.
- We managed to bring a tripod on our second day shooting which was essential for us to keep a stable and still shot as well as moving shots.
- We managed to figure out how to make our lense focus throughout our filming.

What went bad:
- What suddenly was a disappointment was that we wasted time and it took us time for us to gather all the equipments and the buses were on diversion. Because time kept going, we had a short amount of time to get the shots with all the casts as one of our group member had to go back to his next lesson . Although we desperately needed him there, we still managed to get the relevant shots that included him and we still carried on with our filming without him.

- The disadvantage of missing Sabir was that he was the only one who knew how to use the GoPro and therefore it was hard for us to know if our shot was recorded or not

Improvements:
 - In my opinion, i felt that we still didnt get a wide range of shots  to make our chase scene longer and that's because we went over the time we were supposed to be done and everyone was tired.

Pitch Evaluation

After reviewing our feedbacks from our class and teacher, i realised that plenty of imporvements need to be made.

When we explained our title sequence plot to the class, it seemed very difficult for them to understand what was going on. Some percieved our idea as a trailor, whilst others completely didn't understand our plot.
We had everyones face like:

Due to the confusions, the description and explaining of our title sequene needs to be improved in order to make it clearer for everyone to comprehend.

Another improvement that needs to me made is arranging our location and props into the production timeline.

Pitch feedback

Our class peers gave us feedbacks on what was good about our pitch and how we could have improved on it:

Common Feedbacks from class peers:
- Clear and detailed plot
- Well presented
- Good codes and convention of the genre (mind map)
- Unique and interesting ideas

 Common improvements:
- More images
- If the whole group was there to attend
- Went into detail with the audience profile
-make the film idea clearer

Feedback from Teacher:
- Detailed
- Nice and orginal ideas
- Worked well together as a peer

What I've Done Today

Today I was on my own so I decided to do a rough edit of the film from the scenes that we had filmed. I will put the rough idea in the next lesson.
