What is Target Audience?

Comedy Film- The Hangover
    Most People would assume that the comedy film 'The Hangover'
would gain more male viewers than female viewers. However,
according to my research from yougov, The Hangover is most viewedby females between the ages 25 to 39. This may be surprising as males are considered to be into humour and jokes more than women and comedy movies contain more male characters ( particularly in The Hangover), therefore i would expect more males to view this film.  From the chart below, it states that London is the reign where most people have viewed the film. People who have viewed this film are describe themselves as clever but on some occasions they can be boring and lazy.The hobbies that they are into are listening to music and watching movies and the brands theyt consume are Apple and John Lewis.
Overall, i compared the audience profile of this film to other comedy films including Bad moms and the profile results are very similar: age range, gender and location are common. This signifies that young females are interested in comedies.

Action Film- Captain America:The Winter Soldier

This audience profile seems reliable as some people would expect men from 25 years old and older, who work in military and defence to watch action movies.

Thriller films are generally viewed by brave, idiosyncratic and relaxed men from the ages 25 to 39. This profile is reliable as the some thriller films can be uncomfortable or scary to watch.
