my favourite type of title sequence is a "discreet" title sequence, this is a sequence that brings in the credits and names of people discretely as you are completely focused on the title sequence itself.
I like this because it doesn't let you attention be drawn away from the sequence which is happening an example is se7en although the titles come across you do not focus on them due to the title sequence being so bizarre, it really draws you in to the world of the film.
