Task 7:

Skyfall Title Sequence: The opening of the film starts suddenly with the names of the cast and has first person shots in the perspective of the main character James Bond. You hear a loud gun shot at the beginning and throughout you see the main character shooting a gun at many different targets. During the title sequence we are introduced to the bond girls which are renown for every bond movie as well as an implication of what impact they will have during the film. The special effects add tot he tension and thriller/action nature of this movie, as well as the excellent use of props that also imply that there will be action in the film. The credits are however very difficult to read as you are too intrigued by the action going on in the background however, they are integrated very well into the action. Overall the genre of the movie is very clearly portrayed by the title sequence as action with a bit of romance and drama.

Forrest Gump Title Sequence: The title sequence begins with the camera following a feather on it's journey to the ground next to the foot of the main character. There is gentle music playing in the background which sets the tone that this will be a drama. The main  character is shown to be sitting on the bus stop completely isolated from the rest of society. His shoes are dirty and has a suitcase full of clothes which suggests the movie will bout following this character on his travels. The credits all appear at the beginning of the title sequence while following the feather and finish before it gets to the part where the man picks up the feather. Overall this is a good title sequence because the slow build up following the feather implies that we will be following the main character around his journey and the soft music implies that the genre of the movie will be drama.
